SERVING UP A WINNER
What: Geoffrey Clark, owner of The Country Trader, the largest showroom of antiques in Australia, celebrated 25 years in the business with the first Winter Dinner.
Where: The Country Trader emporium, 197 Young Street, Waterloo.
Why: Voted one of the best parties of the season, this fabulous evening was hosted by prominent antique dealer Geoffrey Clark, whose style and personal charm made it a night to remember. It was a truly opulent setting among the French antiques, gilded mirrors and chandeliers, with guests seated at tables of eight joined to form one long banquet table. Particularly impressive was the delicious cuisine created by Chef John Wilson, served from a 200-piece antique Limoges dinner service.
1. Host Geoffrey Clark welcomes interior designers Alice Kerrison (left), of Bronte, and Blainey North, of Darling Point. 2. Mary Chiew, general manager of Giorgio Armani Australia. 3. Finance broker Marty Holland and his wife Sascha, of Woollahra. 4. Barbara Coombes, of Paddington. 5. Clare Paspaley, of Woollahra, hosted one of the eight table. 6. Sara de Vecchi, of Randwick.
