TITLE DEEDS - HOME IS NOT IN THE HEARTLAND
Margie Blok describes Roy and Patricia Medich new home located in Rose Bay which will be probably decorated by The Country Trader antique shop, Interior Designers, Sydney Australia, in Waterloo. DOMAIN May 16-17, 2009. H2.
Click to enlarge Self-made multimillionaire property developer Roy Medich, an indefatigable promoter of Sydney’s South-west who was honoured with a Medal of the Order of Australia by the Liberals (in 1999) for services to the community through fund-raisin, is leaving his heartland and moving to the eastern suburbs. In March, Medich and his wife Patricia, splashed out $7 million for a waterfront apartment in Rose Bay’s prestigious Wintergarden complex. The empty-nester couple snapped it up two weeks after Tom and Margot Johnson listed it for April auction through the Richardson & Wrench Double Bay Agent Michael Dunn.
No doubt the Medichs will be making a beeline for The Country Trader antique emporium (a favourite with well-heeled eastern suburb residents) to find furniture for their new home because their Denham Court mansion is being sold fully furnished. For sale at $4 million through LJ hooker Double Bay agents Ryan Watsford and Bill Malouf, the vast faux-Georgian house has five bedrooms, six bathrooms and large living areas featuring three-meter ceilings and Waterford crystal chandeliers. Perhaps the finest estate in Denham Court – an aspirational suburb considered the Wahroonga of the west – the Cubitt Drive residence has one hectare of gardes with tennis court and indoor heated pool.
